What is Osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis is a disease that causes bones to become thin, porous, and more likely to fracture or break. It is called a “silent disease" because typically there are no symptoms. People may not know they have osteoporosis until they have a facture or until the disease is detected by a bone mineral density test.
